Saying No To Bush

Even GOPer's      It is evidently getting easier and easier to do.   Even some of the GOPer's are realising
Bush really cares about nothing but saving his own a$$.

The list keeps getting longer and longer.   The wingnuts will have to swiftboat some of their own now just to make sure the message that their messiah can do no wrong is adhered to.

First, foremost and maybe more damaging than any other is the news today that Colin Powell has Bush just in time for political gain by the Dems in November ::
Powell endorses efforts to block Bush's terrorist plan

"The world is beginning to doubt the moral basis of our fight against terrorism," said Powell, who served under Bush and is a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "To redefine Common Article 3 would add to those doubts. Furthermore, it would put our own troops at risk."

Defiant Republicans said by passing a bill to the floor of the Senate for a vote that Bush has vowed to block ::

Senate panel defies Bush on terror

Republican Sen. John Warner (news, bio, voting record) of Virginia, normally a Bush supporter, pushed the measure through his Armed Services Committee by a 15-9 vote, with Warner and three other GOP lawmakers joining Democrats. The vote set the stage for a showdown on the Senate floor as early as next week.

Even John McCain who has whored himself up to Bush on countless occasions is finally growing a spine and saying , even as the article below says, it may ruin his chance of becoming president. ::

McCainstands his groundon CIA jails

The Arizona senator, who was tortured as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, strongly opposes Bush administration legislation that he says would redefine US obligations under the Geneva conventions. The White House played down the escalating dispute yesterday, which mirrors a similar battle Mr McCain won last year against the administration.

The U.N. Inspectors have the wingnut who wrote a report to a House Panel headed by Peter (We Found The WMD) Hoekstra.   Does this report sound familiar...?   Same old same old, trying to stir up a case for yet another pre-emptive war.

U.N. Inspectors Dispute Iran Report By House Panel

U.N. inspectors investigating Iran's nuclear program angrily complained to the Bush administration and to a Republican congressman yesterday about a recent House committee report on Iran's capabilities, calling parts of the document "outrageous and dishonest" and offering evidence to refute its central claims.

All I can say is it is about time...   - ƒç
